What does “Executive Filtering” look like?

Executive Filtering happens when “bad news” is being filtered out of communications directed to Executive Teams and other senior managers.

Executive Teams will, on average, estimate their organisation’s employee engagement at 56.3%.

But employees, on average, report engagement at 49.7%  -  a gap of 6.6%.

Some organisations will have a much larger gap between executive readings and employee readings of engagement.

The larger the gap, the more Executive Filtering has been happening.
