Celebrating 25 Years in Business

IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY!

Today (6 July, 2017) BPA celebrates its 25th birthday!

For the past 25 years BPA has been measuring the working life of Australian and New Zealand employees working in care based organisations – health care, private hospitals, public hospitals, mental health, disability, community services, child care, and animal care. In addition, BPA has conducted customers surveys (including patients) with over 100,000 respondents in these sectors.

We are proud of our achievements! We thank you for coming on this journey with us.

BPA'S RESPONDENT POOL

BPA has collected over 560,000 personal stories from the workforce sector from nurses, midwives, doctors, allied health professionals, aged care workers, front line support staff, mental health workers, teachers, managers, and many others. In addition, there are over 100,000 client stories collected. This totals to over 677,000 personal stories in the database.

NOW & THEN

A common question asked by BPA clients is 'Are we getting better at Cultural Change?'
The answer is YES.

Just some of the trends we have observed over the last 10 years include:

  • 8% more employees report being in the Engagement Cycle (upbeat, optimistic, and hopeful about the organisation’s future).

  • 10% more employees report their workplace to be a ‘truly great place to work’.

  • Although employees intention to leave an organisation has stayed rather constant at 13%, the top reason provided in 2007 was "better pay elsewhere”. Today, employees are intending to leave for different reasons with better pay elsewhere decreasing from 21% to 8% of mentions.

  • 9% more employees report that their organisation offers good career opportunities.

  • 7% more employees report that their organisation meets their most important expectations.

  • 6% more employees report that their manager meets their most important expectations.

  • A HUGE 'THANK YOU' TO OUR CLIENTS OVER THE YEARS!
